Webinar – Introduction to the Abaqus remesher

28 Nov, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 10:30 am

Free

For European prospects
Maintaining a high-quality mesh during large deformations in an Abaqus simulation can be challenging. The 4RealSim-developed remesher functionality for Abaqus offers a fully automated remesh/rezone capability. Available as a plugin for Abaqus/CAE, this tool is user-friendly and easy to control.

Join our online webinar, designed for Abaqus users, to learn about the benefits of the Abaqus remesher through detailed explanations and demonstrations.

Abaqus remesher functionality

The Abaqus remesher contains the following automated functionalities
– Element Quality Monitoring: Continuously monitors element quality during the simulation.
– Automatic Analysis Halt: Stops the analysis if element quality drops below user-defined thresholds.
– Geometry Creation: Generates new geometry from the deformed mesh.
– Reassignment of Sets and Surfaces: Re-assigns sets and surfaces and creates a mesh on the ‘new’ geometry.
– History Definitions Update: Updates history definitions, such as loading and boundary conditions.
– New Analysis Submission: Submits new analyses, including the transfer of material state from the previous to the new mesh.
– Result Merging: Merges results from sub-analyses into a single ODB.

Abaqus remesher solver support

The Abaqus remesher is compatible with both Abaqus/Standard and Abaqus/Explicit.

Advantages of the Abaqus remesher

– Unique Solution: The only solution for Abaqus/CAE to handle element distortion.
– Enhanced Handling: Although Abaqus/Explicit can manage element distortion through ALE and CEL, the 4RealSim remesher offers distinct advantages over these techniques.
